The Energy of Mt. Shasta
There are places on this Earth that feel different the moment you arrive.
For me, Mt. Shasta is one of them.
Not just because of its beauty—though the mountain itself is breathtaking in a way that stops thought and brings me into presence. Not just because of the forests, waterfalls, alpine lakes, and wide open sky. And not just because of the pure air and clean water, though both feel like medicine.
It’s something additional. There’s a frequency here.
For me, it feels like a kind of quiet harmony and intelligence moving through the land.
Some attribute it to energy lines. Some name the area a sacred vortex. Some feel it in their bodies before they have language for it. There’s a sense that the Earth is more alive here… or perhaps that we become more alive when we’re here.
And then there are the people who live here, my community of choice.
Mt. Shasta has a way of gathering those who listen to their heartbeat and follow their passions.
- People exploring healing and awakening.
People creating new ways of living and working in balance, as a lifestyle.
People asking deeper questions about what it means to be human, to be in relationship, to be in service.
Real people with sincere intentions.
I love connecting with this community that shares a common thread—a willingness to grow, to experiment, to live closer to the earth and with the seasons.
In a small town with a population of around 3,100, the community is close-knit and relational. There is more transparency and familiarity, and with that accountability and support.

When I look around the Mountain, I don’t just see what is. I see what’s possible.
I have a vision for our town. I want Mt. Shasta to thrive as a locally based ecosystem of caring people, businesses, and families.
I see Mt. Shasta as a place where:
- Clean air and clean water are protected as sacred essentials
- Food and medicinal herbs are grown locally (seasonally) and shared with care
- Businesses are built on relationships, integrity, and offering solutions
- Healing is accessible and integrated into everyday life
- Community is not something we talk about… It’s something we practice
And I also see how this place can ripple outward, inspiring other places around the planet.
Mt. Shasta is not just a destination. It’s a prototype. We’re not perfect, yet there's strong evidence of sustainability in our shared vision here. I believe we’re moving in the right direction.
A living, breathing example of what can happen when:
- People slow down enough to listen
- Nature is honored, not overridden
- Inner work and outer creation are held together
We begin to remember something.
How we live matters. The energy from which we create shapes what we create. Community is not built by accident; it’s cultivated through attention, care, and shared intention.
My hope for the city of Mt. Shasta…
Is that we continue to create sustainable, conscious tourism without losing what makes this place special. That we honor the land. That we support one another. That we attract more cultural venues and ecological movements for the long-term quality of life.
That we build human systems and structures that allow more people to thrive—without pressure, without force, without losing the soul of what’s here.
My hope for the world…
Is not so different.
A world where:
- People feel safe enough to be honest and authentic
- Relationships are rooted in compassion and care
- Work is an expression of who we are, not just what we do
- Communities function more like living ecosystems than isolated individuals
- And where spirit is a guiding force
I don’t believe we get there all at once. I think we create it in small ways.
In how we speak to each other. In how we build our businesses. In how we gather. In how we listen to understand.
Mt. Shasta reminds me of this. Again and again.
That a better world is not somewhere else. It’s something we are already creating. Wherever you live, you are creating.
Here and now.
How are you creating a better world?
