She Called Me Home: A Personal Pilgrimage with Mary Magdalene

On July 22, the Feast Day of Saint Mary Magdalene, I remember the teacher, mystic, and spiritual sister who forever changed my life.
Honoring the Feminine Christ
July 22 is the Feast Day of Saint Mary Magdalene—a date celebrated by mystics, spiritual seekers, and the Catholic Church alike. In 2016, Pope Francis elevated her from “memorial” to “feast,” formally recognizing her as equal to the male apostles. She has long been known as the Apostle to the Apostles—the first to witness and proclaim the risen Christ.
Yet for many of us, she is even more:
A teacher.
A guide.
A mirror of Divine Feminine embodiment.
How She First Came to Me
Mary Magdalene entered my heart in 2018 when a new friend, Nicola Amadora, told me she was taking women on pilgrimage to Mary’s cave in southern France.
I didn’t need to think—my whole body said YES.
A year later, I found myself in the holy forest of Saint Baume, where Mary spent her final years in meditation, service, and prayer.
What happened there changed me and set in motion my greatest becoming.
One week of listening, reflecting, and exploring her land. I drank from her spring waters. I walked barefoot on her forest paths. And for three days, I sat in the darkness of her cave, held by a small sisterhood.
In that sacred space, something cracked wide open.
My body quaked.
My voice gave in to a language of light.
I received messages.
I remembered.
And when I left that land, I carried a new fortitude—a commitment to truth, come what may.
A Spiritual Lineage of the Feminine
This wasn’t just about connecting to Mary the woman. It was about reconnecting to a spiritual lineage of the feminine—surrendered, intuitive, embodied, and whole.
A path not of striving, but of receiving, feeling, and allowing.
Following Her Footsteps to Israel
Three years later, I felt her call again—this time to Israel.
In Jerusalem, I saw her portrayed in sacred art. I felt beyond the limited stories. I touched into her devotion, grief, and radiant love.
In Magdala, her birthplace on the Sea of Galilee, I arrived at the Magdala Hotel just as a press conference was ending. Scholars had gathered to honor the Magdala Stone, an archaeological discovery tied to the temple culture of Mary’s time.
I stood in awe of the timing—tears streaming down my face—overcome by love and recognition.
A female historian looked at me and asked, “Why are you following the trail of Mary? What draws you to her?”
I answered honestly:
She loved the teachings of Jesus, as do I.
And she embodied Christ Consciousness while living in a female body.
Returning to the Cave
After Israel, I returned to the cave in France once more on a personal quest to bask in her codes of light..
At the threshold of the cave, I asked: “May I enter?”
I heard a voice:
“Yes, and know that there are many stories about my life. The stories matter little. The feeling I give you—that is the transmission. That is the transformation.”
Inside the cave, I let go of the need to know the “true story.” Instead, I sat to feel.
What came was visionary and visceral:
Geometric symbols holding keys to soul embodiment.
The human body is a technology of light.
And a graceful integration—the Divine entering my human self.
Who She Is to Me
Mary Magdalene is more than a historical figure. She is a frequency, a presence, a pathway.
She is:
A mystic, priestess, and spiritual aspirant
A healer and a lover
A truth-teller and awakened soul—fully human and fully divine
Why I Celebrate Her
On this sacred day, I celebrate her.
And I celebrate the Mary energy within me—and within you.
The part of us that is called to truth, love, wholeness, and a path of feminine awakening.
May we all remember.
May we all receive.
May we all rise.
